Question Another MOT test exhaust query

Whwn I bought my MY99 UK turbo last year it had a Sebring exhaust on it. I recently changed this to a jap style rear box as the Sebring had rusted through, but did not change the centre section as it appeared brand new. I have had the car emissions checked for MOt and they are perfect, however I am worried that the centre section does not contain a catalytic converter and wish to know if the car will fail the MOT due to this even though the emissions are dead on.
Can anybody clarify this for me????

Thanks

Worry not. Your downpipe from the turbo contains the cars main Cat which will catch all the nastys for your mot

most should pass the MOT with just the downpipe cat in place so yours is fine
mine passes with no cats gawd knows how. don't tend to ask them strangely enough

Thanks for the info and putting my mind at rest. Seeing as I have had to wait 6 MONTHS for an appointment due to the strikes and us only having "approved" namely half a dozen test centres here in Norn Iron I didnt want to fail for something I can have fixed prior to the test!!

A centre decat was part of the PPP kit did on the MY99, leaving the big dp cat, so no problem.

Yep should be no problem, my MY98 PPP just sailed through the MOT (this week) with only a standard downpipe and no centre cat.
