Just noticed the figures in auto express today
Sti retains 49% of its cost after 3 years
Wr1 retains 44%
I make that after 3 years they are both worth about the same give or take a little
How does that make wr1 owners feel
please i got an sti now

WR1 new 29,995 x 44% value in 3 years = 13,197
STi new 24,995 x 49% value in 3 years = 12,247
difference of less than a grand but 5 k dearer when new

But the way just an observation i dont suppose any wr1 owners give a monkeys aint that right chrissy

I'd love to walk into a dealers in 3 years time and pick up a WR1 for £15k. Problem is that P1's in good condition are still fetching £17 to £18k from dealers after nearly 5 years of being available.

as with any car,you can negotiate with dealer, some p1's are selling on e-bay for peanuts but would you buy one,i reckoon wr1 will be worth in 3 years as much as a p1 is now but it will depend on what subaru bring out in 3 years time and....the price of petrol/insurance

At this moment in time I'd have to agree with one of Steppers comments.
This WR1 owner certainly doesn't give a monkeys!
As for the rest, well I know I've said it before, but most of these comments are almost identical to those made about the P1, and as has been pointed out, they're still fetching respectable sums 5 years down the line.
Only time will tell how acurate AE's crystal ball is.

I have to chuckle, over on Lancer Register the Evo owners slag off the 260 as it is the slower, cheaper, less capable little brother. Over here you slag off the WR1 when it's the faster, more expensive, more capable big brother.

Hehe it seems Scoobynet suffers from jealousy, and the MLR from snobbery ! Cue loads of people posting 'i wouldn't be seen dead in a WR1 blah blah MY94 miles better blah blah gay colour, fake stats' etc. etc.

That is scary though - suggested 44% of it value ![Embarrassment](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/redface.gif)
Friend bought an Evo 300 from new last year. He only really uses it at the weekends. However even though its in A1 condition with low mileage within 6months the dealer offered 7K less than what he paid for it
He has still got it but it's working out it's costing him about 1K a month let along insurance and fuel costs.
