You can use standard unleaded but not many do.. I use either optimax or bp ultimate. essor super unleaded or the new name for it that escaaped me is good also.
as for mpg, well it depends on a. how hard you drive it and b. what mods you have on it i.e. PPP etc..

I have the prodrive pp on mine and a few ecu remats etc and mine currently put outs (according to r.road test 4 months back), around 340bhp. On a moterway journey i get around 20mpg. But i dont know how to drive slowly. so i you tried i think you could get 23-24mpg out of it.. before i had the performance pack i was getting 1mpg better.

hope this helps..
cheers
J

On the inside of the fuel flap on mine it quotes super unleaded only so i would'nt want to be putting 95ron standard stuff in unless it was the only thing available and then i would only put enough in to get me to some super. Mine does about 24mpg varied driving.

If worried about pertol but a diesel. I may sound harsh sorry, there are lots of posts re how much these cost to run and drive and at times i think its lets bash the car we supposedly love!!!

Sccobs are not an econmoy car, they are a fab high performance car that a few of us get lucky enough to own, running ciosts will always be an issue but i find if i go without food and drink for three wekks i can get 150 miles out of the car!

Optimax, and I keep a bottle of Millers aboard in case I'm forced into using 95RON. MPG for all-round day-to-day progressive road driving very constant at 22.5 MPG (5 Mi per litre), but the car needs to be well loosened up (as yours will be) (i.e >8000 miles): my PPP improved the MPG marginally.

Cheers

Phil
