A good friend of mine sells subaru, and was crying into his beer the other night saying that all of the 2005 cars had had there margins cut in half leaving about £1000 profit in the new forester 2.5. He then went on to say that out of that came £200 house charge just to open the doors and first service charge of £100 then vat on the profit another £175 leaveing about £500 profit on the car. IMHO not a great return for the dealer. Some one somewhere must be taking a big cut (I.M???).
