Unhappy Stingy SUK

03STi booked in for warranty replacement of leaking rear shocks. SUK will cover replacement costs but won't pay for alignment checks and adjustment.

I think that's a bit mean, just had to moan.

Diccy.

Steering geometry is normal maintenance.

True, but it wouldn't need doing if a warranted part hadn't failed so I would argue that it's just as much a part of the job as putting the wheels back on. I had it done at TSL a year ago and have been really happy with the results and through no fault of mine it gets messed up.

IMO the dealer should offer to do this for you, assuming you are a regular customer I'm sure they will.

Mine would.

I have asked - no joy. Only my third visit to new franchise. I thought they were after business but obviously not that fussed about their reputation. Shame is they have a great Scooby enthusiast/mechanic doing the work, my issue is with the pen pushers.

they will have to do it...

they are obliged to leave the car in the condition found..

if the steering and geom were out you could potentially be liable in the event of an incedent..

its a classic conundrum..

just point out that if they dont make good the work done, and the car replaced to its original condition, you will be persuing the matter further
