Impreza Repairs in Sheffield
OK then. my mate has just spun his WRX Wagon (at 40mph) clipped another car with the back then gone up a bank.
It now is in need of some TLC. He lives in Sheffield.
Any recommendations from personal experience of repairers in this area would be greatly appreciated ?
For those who know the area is was the left hand bend coming out of Oughtibridge heading towards Stocksbridge, doing 40-45mph (not accelerating) back end snapped out wihtout any warning, long period of sideways with no noticable slowing of speed (?) then clunk into a Corsa coming the other way. No one injured, my mate is bit confused as he's done 60mph round that bend many times in the past with no probs, but isn't that always the way. Lad in Corsa bit gutted as only passed his test a week ago....
Cheers

Cheers guys I know they are highly thought of and even paid them a visit 2 weeks ago for a look round, but I was wondering about places peeps have actually personally used and how they got on with them.
You know "eventually it was great but I had to keep on at them, and I had to refuse to take it back twice" - had this personal experience myself with a repairer in Sheffield (with my last car).

Definately contact the scoobyclinic, did a great job on my car.
I previously had a black 2.0 sport that got rear ended last year, used ADR for the repairs but the paint job just wasnt right. A couple of months after buying the sti, i had a slight argument with a fence post and decided not to claim from the insurance. Contacted the scoobyclinic, gave a good price for the repair, so i booked the car in. Was a bit suprised when they phoned me to tell me the car was done as it was a few days earlier than they quoted. But what can i say, turned up to collect the car and what a fantastic job, you cant even tell it had been damaged.
Only trouble is I cant keep away from the place, i'm hooked on buying extras now ( or is it that im just a shop-a-holic ).

I DO NOT recommend ADR for repairs. THe were supposed to be repairing my 306 after a tree fell on it during a storm. I had to take it back so many times and it still wasn't fixed.
In the end I sold it (though I did buy my scooby instead!)

Car has gone to Monty's today.
My mate can't praise Subaru Assist enough. 1 phone call, car collected and taken away last night to secure storage, him dropped off at home, and then car delivered to Monty's today, no problems. He'll even get a courtesy car from them for 2 days.
NU wanted to send the car to Dixon Car clinic, been there got that experience, wont be paying them a visit again soon, so hence the car didn't go to the "approved" repairer, so no courtesy car from the insurance but no loss there.

Cheers guys.....
Bit of hitch at the moment, Monty's waiting for insurance assessor as they are confident it will be written off !!!!
They reckon it's only worth £7000 and they need £4000 of parts to fix it, plus labour on top.
Where they get their valuation from is beyond me.
My01 on Y plate
Standard car (many examples on Subaru website =£11k minimum for a standard car)
Modifications : Oz 10 spokes in anthracite with P-Zeros, Prodrive Springs, Morettes, 330mm Brake upgrade, scoobysport back box, plus a few other bits and pieces estimate with a new replacement value of about £4500
Thus I make it more like £15,500 to replace with same spec vehicle.
Where they make up their valuation of £7000 is beyond me ? ? ? ? ?
