Default WRX PPP Just fitted !

Well i have taken 2 days off , 1 to get the ppp fitted, and one to drive it !

snow has ,mostly gone and today is my test day

well its worth the money !,the car now feels quick, pulls like stink,

if i floor it in second at 2 thou reves it climb steadly to 3thou rpm and then wallop !! its f$%^ing off like a missle, much more aggressive power delivery and pulls with no feel of power loss through to 6rpm

that second and third gear just put a huge grin on ya face

i just wanna find excuses to go out in it now i like my old car, this meens i useally do the shopping more for the missus

Not sure ,but i swear its way quicker than my old my00 uk with 272bhp

ppp is a must !

just 3 more jobs

eibach and geom

scrap the **** speakers in the front for something that fits in the same holes with no hassle but better sound, just need to find out what fits ,dont want to do spacers unless i can buy off the shelf etc

Don't bother with the bracing yet. Do the links first, then if you want the Eibachs do them but drive it a while before you consider the ARB as it may be to stiff for everyday use. The ALK should be last on the list, but still worthwhile if you want it very tight. After all that it's worth considering bracing, maybe.

agreed ! i went the other way with my last car

but i need the warrenty

ppp is not to bad

lets play a game

tsl rear box = 300 fitted
tsl map = 700
tsl sports cat down pipe = 580
samco hoses for intercooler fitted = 100

total cost 1680 but car will have a smother torq curve and would run around 270 ps

but no prodrive cert and no warrenty

power about the same

i agree that ppp would not be worth it if you you wanted to go beyond the 265 ps mark.

you wanted to go beyond you would naturally do the following

do up pipe, centre pipe etc then a up rated fuel pump etc etc

but then, may as well start with a sti as a base car.

the wrx 03/04 engine is safe for around 290 before having to mod parts of the engine to cope, and there is the strain on the gear box

if you figure that a ppp ecu is 700 pounds and the intercooler hoses fiitted are 100 pounds then that meens your paying 800 for the rear box and sports cat including fitting with a certificate and kept warrenty, and when i sell people would pay a little more for a ppp car plus they wont be put of by no warrenty and not being sure how the mods where done, or if i was a bit of boy racer.

If i get 800 pound back when i sell the car because a ppp car is with worth a little more, and this includes the dealer, then i really have paid 800 pound for a 45bhp/torq more increase and also have a more re-sellable car

so i figure its not thatbad when you look at the bigger picture and decide how far you want to go.

if i was gonna you mad , i would buy a second hand sti and go for the tsl 333 at around 2k

but hen if your gonna do that , may as go for a JDM, then so on till you end up with a type 25, and then i would want to mod that as well !

decide when to stop with the big costs, then play with suspenshion and braces etc as a modding hobby

anyone like my logic
