Wink

I ran a 13.68 1/4 mile at crail about a month ago.
My scooby is a MY95,it was totally standard at the time,I was
just wondering if thats a good time.
The car now has a pipercross induction kit and a Blitz nur spec
back box,so I will be hoping for an improvment next time.

If it's a standard UK car then it seems like a good time to me. I ran a 14.1 quarter mile in a standard MY98 with Blitz air filter and SS backbox, but that's probably down to my driving and sloth-like reaction times ... If I remember rightly though others on the bbs have run much better times with the same cars (Stef, Puff etc.)

13.68 for a totally standard UK car is a very good time, most seem to struggle to get under 14.
My best with exhaust/filter mods is now 13.2secs, and I don't think I can get much more out of it to be honest.
I think I'll wait until I get more power before trying to better it, as my warranty is also nearly up so I won't be running as much anyway.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought reaction time had nothing to do your 1/4 mile time, its just when you're racing and its 1st past the post that it comes into play. At Pod I've seen the slower car win!
Your time starts when you break the beam.

cheers

No Justin, you are quite correct.
It looks better if you're first away though!

Cool

Ran a 13.9 at York Dragway the weekend before last in my MY97 Scooby (SS backbox, K&N) Very pleased, especially as I whupped a 300+ horse Cossie into the bargain!

It was a boiling hot day too, so I'm sure there are at least a couple of tenths to be had on cooler day. What do you reckon?

Well impressed Andrew, now you've got some quick times to add to that tasty Torque figure !!

When I first got my MY93 WRX I did a 14.1 at Crail. However since then the car has had quite a bit of stuff, so I reckon it should easy crack the sub 14 sec mark.

Anybody know when theres another Thrash & Dash at Crail....hows about a BBS meet??

Reaction time isn't taaken into account for your overall time? Didn't know that!

You learn something new everyday

Last night I dreamt I did a 1/4 mile in under 12 seconds!

Does this count?
