Talking sti 05 ppp test drive

i blagged a test drive in one on tuesday-what a difference compared to mine 03sti 333,the exhaust note is spot on just slightly less loud than my group n bb,the inside looks properly put together almost bmw quality!
being wet, muddy and windy i left the dccd in auto, especially as they let me out on my own! the ride seems harder than my 03(had 2500 miles on clock) and very jiggly at low speeds ?tyres/spec c suspension but once the right foot is applied very little lag or heatsoak (stuck in village traffic) and the ppp map is spot on no jutteriness and flies through to redline hoestly feels as fast as the wr1 and not much slower than mine, overall very impressed all imho

no too much hassle to trade financially as my car is mooded to my taste gauge pack/suspension/map/exhaust/autowaterspray etc and the trade in value for an 03 with 30,000+ miles would be measly, the dealer told me to wait till 2006 till the new model but the 05 car is much better than 03 car

Faster and better all round than the WR1 too yeah
Faster will be a great one if you actually agree as it doesnt hold any more boost to the redline than the car you have.

I`m gonna do the SIDC track day.
That will shut most of the WR1 haters up good and proper.
Wasnt gonna bother as there will be loads on Petters on track if you see what I mean
Mike does his best at demonstrating it at events but I`ve still got a few moves to show him yet

I was hoping you'll take me out at Bedford for my first go in a WR1 but went out in RB5Simon as we were on Public roads he drove very sensibly but very impressed, would still like to see what one driven in anger was like.

he took me around the Rally stage at Warick a very precise bit of driving

2 bar aaron- ithink that would invalidate your warranty as would your suspension changes,by the way has your car been recalled yet!

Martin I dont know what your talking about suspension changes??????
All genuine Subaru stickers and parts on my car.....oh sorry got a whiteline rear bar but hardly think that would affect an engine warranty claim????
No my car does not pull 2 bar.
The WR1 as you seem to know holds its boost far longer than the normal PPP.
Which in my simple meaning= faster as I think I proved with another guy in P`Bro a few weeks ago. He had his car de-catted aswell??
The only reason I queery what you say is the facts dont add up on the first post.
Better and faster?????
