Quickshift kit worth it?

Has anyone had the Subaru quickshift gear change kit fitted? I find the gear changing quite stiff on my MY05 WRX and would like to know if it's worth having the quickshift fitted. Any disadvantages (apart from the effect on my wallet)?

Do it! I put quickshift on my 03 WRX after 1000 miles, it makes a significant difference for the better, i'm sure you'll be pleased. Tell me what the 05 WRX is like, have you ever had an 03/04 so you can compare? Specifically I want to know how it goes round bends and corners in comparison to 03/04 WRX's. I sold mine and bought an Evo 7, and can't wait to come back to Subaru, the TRUE thoroughbred in build quality and refinement, and i'm either gonna get an 05 WRX EU import for £16,495 or maybe an 03/04 STi with very low mileage.

have a prodrive kit on a my02 wrx, noticed the differnce for about 3 days, just feels normal now ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
wouldn't pay the extra for the prodrive version unless you can pick one up second hand
the money would be far better spent on a set of springs if you haven't already done that yet

id be interested to hear what the 05 is like. i guess its marginally heavier and with only 225bhp could be a bit slower are we talking over 6secs to sixty ? so id have to get the prodrive anyways or 3rd party tune up. whats the bhp of prodrive on wrx ?? 265 or sommat.
sorry for all the questions iam a newb.
