Question Any idea of cost for full respray?

Any body had a respray done? What sort of cost and time?
Does changing the colour completely work (ie red changed to blue) or are there always signs it has been done?

Trying to decide what to do with my 'pink' and scraped and scruffy 97MY between 'tidy up', full respray or complete overhaul... ( - or sell it and get a replacement )

Cheers

Mick

Hiya mate

it does depend on the quality of the finish you want.. A full respray could start from as little as £500 but could be as much as £2k+

If you went to a quality bodyshop and they did it properly in terms of the prep work and overal finish (i.e. laquering the finish correctly) then it will look superb, but set you back alot..

As for your other question abotu colour changing, again if done correctly you wont tell.

hope this helps

i paid £3k for a colour change on mine (£1k for the paint and lacquers) but that included some bodywork repairs as well. well worth it though...

A good body shop will charge from around £1000-1200 for a respray without having too many defects.
Thats for a decent job.
Your pays your money etc etc.

Spoke to littleknocks - they don't really do full resprays - apparently the project on the website was for one of the guys that worked there...

Were very helpful though - suggested emailing some photos so they could make some suggestions & estimates...

Why what's wrong with 'pink'!

OK, OK It's supposed to be red and does polish up OK, but the 'pink' keeps coming back after only a week or 2 But the scuffs definately need sorting (and the 5mm shorter bonnet... - another story - managed to get stopped behind a Jeep Cherokee 5mm too late & hit rear footrest with bonnet )
