Wonderful hubby that I am, I've convinced 'er indoors that her Vectra really does lower the tone of our household. P1 - Vectra, Vectra - P1. I ask you? What will the neighbours think?

So I've done what any decent partner would do and bought her a Scooby. Not, not the real deal, because she'd be the first to admit it ain't her. It's a Legacy, a nice little (?) 2.5 on an S plate, auto and estate (wheelchair and a dog, guys, got to be practical...). Only 65K miles.

The thing is, though, while it's fully loaded it does NOT have REMOTE central locking. Bizarre. I'm told the solution is to fit an alarm with remote central locking as a feature - but I've done a quick search and the range of these damn things is mind-boggling.

Bottom line: it's the family bus (but a Scooby!) and security ain't top of the tree - so who can recommend a decent system that'll give me remote central locking? Home fit preferably, but not essential. And cheap as chips, guys, my bank balance has taken an unexpected pre-festive hit.

Come all ye faithful - wire me up to remote comfort and joy!

thanks Alan - got any idea of cost? The cheapest I've seen (so far) is around £200 fitted and I was hoping to beat that by £50 or more. Am I in the wrong playground?
