Desperately Seeking Download!!!
Hey up all,
Had an insight to the Evo v Impreza test that Top Gear did earlier in the year on their Broadband website - trouble is, my BB connection isn't up to the mark for streaming video and I wondered if any of you knew where to get hold of it elsewhere (i.e. download, e-mail from other SNutter!).
Gotta see that vid... Missed it earlier in the year!
Cheers,
Ed

Not wishing to cover old ground but i'm really not sure how they got the Scooby to understeer like that. Mine won't do it if i'm pushing on and driving properly.

Feckin things understeer not simply becouse of power ... it understeered as it went into the corner like most scoobs... in standard form, Scoobs do... its mainly the geom and the stiffness of the rear linkages that dials out the understeer... not simply the fact that power is delivered to the fronts...
mine now, with the Eibach set-up and Whitelines does not understeer half as much... not tried it in the dry yet! so should be even better...
If you think your Wr1 doesn't then your not drivinging it hard enough into the corner! it will ... the Prodrive springs alone still do nt make the car stiff enough... get in an Evo and you'll see how much softer the scoob is...
But then the scoob is easier to live with and all that...!

I admit i do drive like Miss Daisy at times, although when pushing on the car doesn't understeer. It does roll more than an EVO though, and you're right, it is a softer ride. Still it's a better ride for the type of driving i do day to day. That's why i spent my hard earned on one.
I am thinking about sticking a set of Ohlins suspension on the car but that's just going to be part of the package of upgrades i'm thinking of carrying out if i get bored with the car in about 12 months time, as i normally do!
