I personally wouldn't buy a car from e-bay without viewing it first.

Not all RA's came with roof vents.

It has been facelifted (although it still has the early front bumper) and it has a later rear bumper...why?
Maybe the owner just liked the look better....or maybe it has been accident damaged.

Also I can't see anything in the spec list that would take it to 320bhp, the "lower gearing and "fifth injector" are standard items on an RA.

Early RA's did have a closed deck block but they werent 280PS as standard let alone 280BHP. The standard car was 240PS on an 'M' plate; the 260PS version was introduced in November 1994 which would be an 'N' plate at earliest. The RA weighed 1170KGs at its lightest which was only 50 KGs lighter than the WRX at 1220KGs and the fitted aircon option will eat into this. I assume that 'facelift' refers to the '97 onwards headlights. (I wonder where all of these late lamps come from; is the car from Huddersfield?).

The car looks like a dogs dinner to me and I wouldnt touch it; but that doesnt mean that theres anything wrong with it..... 'The Fast and the Furious' has a ****-load to answer for doesnt it?

I was joking Steven; there's been a spate of late lamps stolen in the West Yorkshire area recently.....

Theres nothing wrong with your eyesight; its been removed 2-door-stylee ffs!

I wouldnt touch this car with a ****ty stick. Id go as far as to say that unless an owner can convince you that they are a knowledgeable enthusiast whos looked after the car properly; I wouldnt buy a Scooby of this age now unless it had come straight from Japan and I could see its Auction Appraisal.

Its hard to say; it might all be tip-top; but Id be surprised. Its already way over what a nice un-molested '94 Type RA's market value in my opinion.

Considering the availability of RA's from the likes of Glenburgie, Power Vehicles, New Era Imports etc, if you are looking specifically for an RA, i wouldn't even consider this one. You could get one elsewhere from an enthusiast who's crying watching his pride and joy go to a new owner. Get a mint one with low miles for around 5k if you look about. 320bhp?? I've got a v6 type r v.ltd (similar spec to RA) but with 2.5L lump, hybrid turbo, full decat (3inch turbo back), tek3 ecu and was pushing out 320-330/300 before i had an apexi FC+commander fitted and mapped. Sounds like BS to me mate.
