UPDATED!!!! The Great ScoobyNet Auction - Asia Earthquake Appeal
Hi All
This is important for dealers, and also for consumers. I urge everyone to read.
Fullham aka swissol has come up with a great idea (thank you) for us to raise money.
He has kindly offered a Swissol starter kit to be auctioned on here and all proceeds to go to the appeal.
To support this, ScoobySport will also be happy to offer a scoobysport back box.
Dealers / Suppliers :
Please pm us (to webmaster) with your offer of products / services to be included in the auction, and we'll try to add as many as possible.
Everyone else, please contact all the dealers you know and ask them what they would be willing to offer.
On top of this, ScoobyNet will offer 5 ScoobyNet Plus memberships to the top 5 bidders, plus 10 Super Muppet memberships to the top 10 bidders.
Plus, for all those who pay over the retail price for any of the items, we will offer a scoobynet plus membership along with an honourary additional tag under their username to signify their generousity.
We will then auction them all individually in the ScoobyAid forum.
IMPORTANT
To avoid problems of the past, can people please suggest the best method for the donations to be made.
My first suggestion would be for the individual to go to a post office or similar and send the money, then send us the receipt.
We will then inform the vendor, who will dispatch directly to the recipient.
Any more efficient / better methods are very welcome.
Let's all get behind this and make as much of a difference as we can.
SPREAD THE WORD!
Regards
Simon

If you donate at http://www.dec.org.uk using your credit card you get an email confirmation/receipt. Maybe people could do that and forward the receipt in?
BTW this should be a sticky really IMO.

Hi All
It was sticky for the first few hours, but nobody replied, so I assume people don't notice the stickies.
Re confirmation emails... i know this sounds horrible, but you could edit the email if you really wanted to.

Right Im not a company or owt but I did have a little sponsorship from Meguiars last year and I can offer:
Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo and Conditioner (473ml)
Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax (532ml)
Meguiar's Quik Detailer: Mist and Wipe (473ml)
Meguiar's New Improved Ultimate Wipe
That retail cost is around the £40 mark I believe. I shall cover the postage cost out of my own pocket.

Thank you very much for all the offers so far. WELL DONE to those who are offering products and services.
I've received a few more via PM now, but please keep the coming.
As sammy says, please send them via pm so we can keep this thread clean, and avoid any complications
Thanks again
Simon

Sorry all..
I've been overrun with stuff... there are about 5 more products / services to add to the list, and I'll really try to do that tomorrow.
We should aim to start the auctions towards the end of the week.
PLEASE keep pm'ing me with your offers though, everything will count.
All the best
Simon

Just a suggestion but is there a way that you could expand on the relatively small community of Snet, by using an online auction site such as ebay to host the sale of the items donated? This would open up the sale to a much wider audience, as ebay has a link on its homepage to the tsunami auctions it is hosting.
