I read once that before a car becomes a classic, it becomes cheap. How true! The Classic shape Scooby is increasingly falling into the wrong hands i.e. Chavs and boy racers! We must take steps to stop this and save our beloved Classic Scooby, which is so deserving of a untarnished 'classic' status.

What can we do? Well I think that it's the current owners that have to take action.

We, as a community, must devise a list of physical/character attributes/traits that we should vet potential buyers with respect to. If a buyer exhibits any traits/charactersitics on the list, they simply may not have the car!

I'll start the ball rolling shall I? (copy and paste subsequent suggestions to form a list)

3) Wears a thick gold chain!
4) Currently drives a Nova or Saxo!

Hmmm, so given the current pretty crap second hand market, you want people to refuse a sale because the buyer doesn't fit the image? Good luck when you come to sell yours

I understand what you are saying though. Look after your own car properly unlike the young uns that can only just afford to buy them, let alone run them, and they may just sell

On a opposite to this they should be sold to young professional footballers who think they are gods gift (Don't they all). So they can stick them in a ditch within 4 weeks of buying one.
Thus confirming what we all know. A lot of ability to kick a bag of leather has no bearing on having any ability elsewhere
