Default Series McRae

Where is the plate on the dash usually situated giving what No in the Ltd run the vehicle is? Is the colour a standard colour, or was it special to this run? Does the chassis no give any indication of authenticity?
Thanks for the info.

if you sat in driver sea look down to your left, between gear stick and radio there is a blank pannel, if a ltd edition it'll be there.

I don't fancy driving the car into the sea to find out it's authenticity, surely there's an easyer way

not sure about the chassis no. but the mcrae was in a dark blue mica/metalic paint that wasn't available on any other scooby (at least in the uk), very dark with gold metalic. stays clean for about 5 mins then looks dirty again

recaro driver/passenger seats with embroidered 'series McRae' below the recaro embroidery (the seats were a prodrive upgrade option at the time, but only the mcrae had the extra bit of text on them).

speedline 16" safari gold alloys (seven spoke if i remember)

series mcrae badges on boot and under wing indicators.

can't think of anything else, would post some pics up of my old one but i don't have a scanner

are you looking at one that might not be all it seems?

Thanks troops, my mate is getting one possibly traded in to the garage he works in, he claims it is the same colour as his old 1996 sport, and there isn't a plaque in front of the gearknob, but it has the rest, 100K on the clock.

The Terzo Owners thread has details of a contact number for IM head office Technical department.

If contacted they should be able to verify the unique number of the car from the chasis number.

Doubt you will be able to replace the original plaque.

Series MacRae, Cataluyna and Terzo models all have unique numbers and plaques
