Going to get my STi soon, just wondered about the air intake for the intercooler.
Do you have to be careful how much water you get in there? IE when you are washing the car it is unwise to rinse into that hole?
Sorry if this seems stupid, but I have never had a car with an air intake in the bonnet.

You only really need to take care of the intercooler fins. Never spray water directly into the scoop at them as they are very fragile and bend very easily.
As for getting everything wet - I park mine facing uphill in the rain all the time
