Question Wheel arch liners.

MY02 WRX.

After three months from new I noticed that the nearside front wheel arch liner had split around the bottom mounting screw, and was loose to flap around in the breeze I put it down to heavy handed installation of the front spoiler, or mishandling while lashing down during transport. I duly coughed up £40 at Subaru dealer for replacement.

Has been OK for 2 years including a high speed impact with a ford (of the liquid variety) on the way to last years RAC (Sept).

Just noticed again (I don't clean the car often) that the liner has split in exactly the same fashion, leaving it, and the bumper/front spoiler loose.

Has anyone else had a similar problem? Is there a <£40 way of making it more secure? Does it matter, I am worried that other fixings will come under more strain and fail also.
