Default starting trouble

I could not get my scooby to start this evening and had trouble last friday evening as well... when i turned the key it sounded like it was really struggling
and i heard a beep that sounded like my alarm...any thoughts........after a few atempts it does start and has been running no probs.....

I have just replaced my batteries in my immobiliser fob so i ruled that one out

thanks

Deffo the car battery - change it before it leaves you stranded.
Approx £50 from any motor factor place.

had a feeling it was the battery......strange it starts when left for 12 hours over night but does not start in the evening when left for less....
but i have a sigma m series alarm fitted which apparently tells you the battery voltage......12 flashes from the dashboard led =12volts so will try that in the morning

thanks

No worth doing that as the battery base voltage will be over 12 volts. Its the cranking voltage that is important and can be checked with a multi-metre.

If you want to know how to do it pm me

Agreed, HellFrauds do decent ones at decent prices and will fit it for you, save you getting your hands mucky.

I paid a bit extra to have one with "Calcium Technology"
Now, do I top it up with DI water, or milk?

Got it sorted....went down to halfords and when they put their meter on the battery it needed replacing so i brought the "calcium" one which cost £55.99 with 4 year warrenty...they also charge £4.99 fitting now so i done it myself and gave them my old battery

hopefully sorted
