My mechanic (Steve @ Northants Subaru) has a ''94 UK Impreza Turbo with 200k on the clock. Motor untouched....

My UK Turbo Wagon "only" has 113k on on the clock although is running higher boost via ScoobyECU - approx 270bhp

Bloody hell and there was me worrying about buying an '03 plate STi with 25k miles on the clock.

I have lost touch a bit I think. I thought most performance turbo charged cars were only good for 50k miles before you would be looking at a new turbo!

LOL

I changed my 03STi PPP in November (after 20 months use) with 50,000 on the clock...changed to an 05WRX SL PPP then - its got near 8000 on it already (10 weeks old)

edited to add - my MY99 Turbo PPP had 100,000 when I changed it after 3 years ownership, although it needed an engine rebuild at 95,000

Mine has 'only' got 101k on original box/engine and also is sweet as a nut - fully decatted with a bit more boost naturally @ 270-280bhp (MY 95).

Since my car is for sale soon - I was speaking to a guy who was looking for a Wagon - I told him the mileage was quite high - and he said no problem, had just sold his modd'd turbo with 145k trouble free miles on...

As long as it is cared for any motor will go for a long time. A heavy foot and a cold engine is a recipe for disaster.
