Question New WRX PPP on a rolling road - what should I expect ?

Hi all..
I'm taking my '05 WRX with PPP to a rolling road day in March, never been to one before so I'm quite excited

I'm thinking though that as my car is only just run in, and by mid March it'll probably be up to around the 3k mark, that it will still be quite tight and I'm unlikely to see the full performance figures. Is that correct ? how much effect is it likely to have ?

Also I would be interested to hear what any other WRX PPP owners have been getting on RR's, are you seeing less or more than what is quoted by prodrive ?

Many Thanks

rolling roads vary from one to another in terms of result and skill and consistancy of operator also ask for calibration data and results from other WRX's they have tested recently for some comparisons.
Its good to have a run as standard then fit the mods and see the results before and after.

Rolling roads days are just a bit of fun if you had the car done prior to PPP and then tested after PPP fitted You would see the gains IMHO

Tony

Ps try not to get a hang up over 'Fiqures', if does it does it on the 'Track' that what counts

According to prodrive you should be able to wave your ***** to the tune of 261 bhp although that was the 04 model (mine) would be curious to know as well how close to the quoted figures it is

There's an awful lot of variables that do effect rolling road figures, remember. For example, I've seen the same car make 20bhp different on the same rollers within an hour, just by having the tracking set up properly. Gives decent indication, allows you to compare, but wouldn't bet on perfect accuracy. And the same car on different rollers will give noticeably different results.

Having said that, I'd bet against you ever seeing 260 on some of the more pessimistic rollers with just a PPP on your WRX.

I tend to look at wheel hp, I ran mine on two different rr, no changes two different days, one a little colder than the other.

One was 250whp and one was 256whp, so not too far apart.

There are plenty of variables involved though. Good fun though.
