Just invested in a 94 model import, want to fit a speed de-limiter, what does this involve? Can i do it myself? is there anyone out there with one going cheap?

The one I got fitted into the gearbox, then the speedo cable connected to that.

I found it tough to get to, so took it to a local garage, but I think some people on here have did it themselves.

you could get one from ebay for about £50, ideally you need to get under the car to put it on

 

hi mate just fitted one myself, have no real mechanics background and found it easy.
there is one available from a company called south eastern transmissions (in back of banzai jap tuners mag) 01303 272009. it fits between the spedo cable and clocks.
you will prob find that you will need to change the spedo clock face as it wont go up far enough...........leave this to an expert!!
