Will a new age de-cat pipe fit a 98 UK turbo?
Hi,
Does anyone know if a prodrive decat centre section for a new age impreza fit my 1998 (S reg) UK turbo 2000 4WD with a STI 5 back box?
Cheers,
Paul.

IIRC, the difference is that the new age has three sections before the backbox -downpipe, two parts for centre (one cat one resonator?), then backbox, whilst the classic has two - downpipe and single part centre. The backbox is the same apart from one or two hangers, the turbo is pretty much the same.
Therefore, you might be able to use a new-age downpipe and centre sections replacement on a classic as long as you change them all at once? Never tried, purely speculating. Safest bet is to buy the right bit to start with!

When you say straight through do you mean that it replaces both cats? How much?
Cheers,
Paul.

Sorry straight thru I just meant there is no resonator part just a pipe, it just replaces the centre cat section on a classic, its the one that bolts onto the backbox its about 3-4 feet long, bolts on downpipe at the other end.
I was going to try and sell it for £40 never got round to it, but £35 if you want and meet up at the Midlands meet.

Pretty sure its stainless and has a lifetime warranty. Its done about 10K miles. I took it off and replaced it with a tsl resonated one to quieten down my firestorm on motorways.
