Free servicing and mods
My mate is considering a new wrx, which comes with free servicing. He has read the terms and conditions and he seems to think that if he mods his car in anyway, the free servicing will be voided. Ahs anyone else read it and come to this conclusion, or have you currently got a scoob with free servicing and modified it, but are still recieving your free servicing. Or is my mate just being a numpty?
P.S. There is no need to mention warantee issues on this thread

This is the quote from the terms and conditions :
"Any form of tuning or performance enhancements that are not approved by Subaru (UK) Limited will automatically invalidate the offer."
Sounds like they will try and get out of it!! Its a bit of a joke, how can fitting an aftermarket back box affect them changing the oil!!!

Hi there. I have a very good relationship with my dealer and they say that they will honour any servicing / warranty from myself OR my customers with Subaru's. They say that as long as your not running Nos etc, there isn't a problem, although other dealers in the area are not so keen. P.S. My local dealer if you freind wants a service is in Plymouth / Devon.

Sorry, but I suspect it has everything to do with the warranty.
Everyone is aware that IM are fairly strict about mods invalidating the warranty, so why would they continue to honour a free servicing offer on a car without a warranty, that may be subjected to aditional stress by an unauthorised mod.
Not my opinion, but I suspect that would be the argument.

Your always right but Mod it as much as you like after 3 year as you won't be able to afford the one years extended warranty @ £1223
