Default Octane Booster

Will using Octane Booster with ordinary unleaded long term, cause any damage?

I ask cos I'm over 20 miles from an optimax pump.

Cheers, Ted.

Then as far as i'm aware you should be OK.

Your using standard unleaded which is 95 RON with a booster which raises it by 2/3 Octane points making it 97 RON, the same as SUL.

Your car is mappeD to run 97 RON not 100 like imports so you will be OK

Not if you start using it, only if you stop using it.

Always use Super Unleaded or normal leaded with a booster !

I believe the ECU is self learning.

The thing is you wont get the full power output from normal 95 RON fuel.

You don't have to use Optimax any decent Super unlead will be fine.

BP Ultimate, Esso Super and Sainsburys do a decent Super also.
