IMPORTING STI/HELP!!!!!!!
hi am importing a car my self i have got the forms and am quite confused,can some oen shed some light please.
i got the pack from the dvla i have a V55/5 form
and a form from H M CUSTOMS AND EXCISE
now i dotn have all the information for the questions on the v55/5 form,
so where am i supposed to find out the size of the wheel plan and the type approval number,
or do i fill all thsi sin when i get the model report?
its a scooby sti i am importing my05

Re sizes etc, it should all be on the certificate of conformity (if you're importing a European sourced / spec vehicle)
V55/5 is vehicle registration document? This is required so DVLA can getb you on the system and register it / give you a reg no.
Customs form is to let them know you've bought it so the nice people at the Treasury can relieve you of the VAT assuming you've not paid it originally (different regulations then I think). You've to keep the VAT receipt for quite a few years (7?) and the importing paperwork just in case there's any checking up - if the paperwork's not available then the powers that be can drive away in the car and you can do sod all about it...
