BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY

Hi all,
I can't comments about Cenrtal Subaru Spares, but here's another breaker who I'm starting to get worried about...
HDC SUBARU (West Yorks).
I've been trying to get in touch with them regarding a refund (£240) for the past few weeks... there's no-one home! Maybe they're just on holiday?
If anyone knows what's up with HDC, please email me.
- ColinU.

ALL,
Maybe this is a 1 off, but I ordered parts from a Company called 'Central Subaru Spares'
. They took the money but sent no parts. They have had the money for a month now, and still nothing has arrived. Lots of excuses later but nothings changed. YOU BEEN WARNED.

If you paid with credit card, dispute the transaction. Basically, if you haven't had the goods, or even if the goods are misadvertised, the card issuer can end up paying for them. It ain't quite that simple, but if you're not happy then query the transaction.
If you paid with debit card, good luck.
For mail order, *always* use credit cards, as you have so much more protection!
Hope this is some help...

Bal -- Please email me.
All -- I won't discuss HDC any further on the BBS unless I hear for sure that they are messing me about, or have closed down. (I'll give them the benefir of the doubt for now).
If you have any info regarding HDC, please email me directly.
- ColinU
P.S.
Mine was a Visa transaction. I called Visa and they said they could pursue it, but they'd need all/any written communication between me and HDC. Kind of difficult as the transactions were by phone!!!

ColinU,
Don't give up hope yet. If the transaction was carried out over the phone then the Visa record will show that the authorisation was done without the customer being present. Hopefully Visa will recognise this and chase the vendor for their response. If they say it was delivered then ask them to prove when and who by as all couriers have to keep records and a signature should be against the delivery. If the company concerned has gone into liquidation or ceased to trade for any other reason then I'm sure Visa will credit you the money back once the details are clear.
I received c£450 deposit back from Mastercard in the World of Leather liquidation, but it took a while as the receivers were inundated with claims. Also, having a surname beginning with 'Y' has it's disadvantages in alphabetical processes.
Hope you get your money back
