Bought one in Jan, very happy. No alarm £350 No locking wheel nuts £25 First service done today £117. Saving £5000, in my pocket £4508. Explanation as to why I should not have bought an import, from local Dealer and Subaru Uk PRICELESS.

I'm interested in this. So how much did you pay in Japan and who bought it for you, or did you fly over.

How much for the SVA conversion as well?

The main disadvantage seems to be in residual value and potential trade in problems later on - not really an issue if you plan to keep the car for a good time and sell privately when you change..

oh yeah - and mixed reports as to how easy or not it is to have it PPP'd in this country and keep yr warranty..
