I will buy a set of 4pots from them.
As I'm living in Switzerland the paying is a problem...
I asked if I could pay by credit card, but as the selling of the brakes has nothing to
do with the garage, they cannot make a credit card transaction......
David wrote me:
"We would need you to send a cheque in advance for the full amount. I know
that means that you have to trust me, but we are an official UK Subaru main
dealer, in addition to this there are several people on the BBS that would
vouch for both me and my garage. I hope your happy with this, only it can be a
credit card transation as it's a private sale, and as such nothing officialy to do with the
garage."
Should I do it? Or does anybody know another way to make the transaction?

I find it strange you asking that question on the BBS. I believe that this is a personal transaction between you and Dave not the Garage. Anyway, Dave top Man, I would trust him implicitly with my wedge, Lavendar Hill Garage all thoroughly nice people and professional to boot.

You're talking about 350quid.

I left my MY98 Scooby with all ownership papers etc in his hands, and left the country! No paperwork, no receipt, no nothing, just a nod from Dave.

Never once did I feel anything but completely safe about the whole thing.


Basically, you can trust him implicitly, he's a top chap, and all the above comments are true.

For car sales, they're the ONLY dealer I've ever dealt with, that displayed complete integrity, honesty and friendliness.

Close your eyes, and send him the cheque.

Scott, I think you'll find the reason that ric asked on the BBS was that Dave suggested he did. *shrugs*
