Dad sent is car for a service today, and they took his tints of the front windows and then told them they were illegal as their reason for doing this.

Funny thing was when we bought the car of them, they came with the tints and were assured they were legal.

Waiting to find out whats happened when he gets back.

 

if they didn't get consent first, I would be kicking up a proper storm, preferably in front of some prospective customers in the dealership!

 

Going to get the full story when he gets back, not sure my dad is the type of person to agree to them taking them off.

 

Maybe they thought the tints were legal when they sold him the car, and later they discovered they were illegal, and decided to cover their asses and remove them. If that was they case I would expect them to re-tint them with a legal tint.

 

Very possible, either way that is taking the **** big time..!

Did they charge labour for removing them..? If not they are definately covering their ***, as how many main dealers work for nothing (out the goodness of their heart, bless em) BS..!

I'd be having a major wobbly..!
