Steering 'feel' on '54 WRX
Is there a general consensus on most cost-effective way to improve this? And would these changes affect warranty? My first scoob and would like to have a better idea of 'what's going on' especially when pushing on a bit - tyres are Bridgestones - thanks.

To get more road feedback in the Scoob open the window put your arm out and drag your knuckles along the ground!

Your first step would be to get the gemoetry set up correctly, do a search on here as its been discussed many times.
The Impreza is designed to be pretty driver friendly out of the box, so that people coming from a slower / less capable car will not kill themselves at the first corner. This makes them feel fairly docile and even sterile from a 'feel' point of view. Adjusting the geometry can change this significantly.
Of course there are cars, and bikes, that feel sharper. Not many of them perform all round like the Impreza, nor can they carry five people and their luggage.
Also have a look at your tyre pressures, keep the fronts 3psi harder than the rear, try 34/31 and increase / decrease until you're comfortable with it.

If you wanted the best steering feedback you can get with a scoob, you should have bought a JDM STi with quickrack steering
You could see what accessories are available to you from your local subaru dealer, quickracks use to be on there, they may still be (give you better steering feel than a UK STi )

To just improve steering feel, once yo've got the right tyre's pressures, geometry etc, I'd suggest you need to add castor angle. The latest STi's, Spec C etc run ~4º mor castor than the older cars & WRX. They do it by a new lower arm etc, which isn't convenient for other cars. The easiest way to add castor is to fit a set of camber/castor adjustable top strut mounts, and get it set up properly
