Default Going rate for a '53 WRX

Hi all,

I'm trying to find out a typical selling price for a bloke at work on his Impreza. He's got a black WRX, '53 plate with 36k on the clock and full Subaru service history.

Any estimates would be much appreciated guys....

Cheers,
D.

Autotrader says....

Dealer* *£12,399
Private* *£11,819
Part Ex* *£10,420
Trade* *£10,155
Cost New* *£21,320

Seems about right going by ads on here too. PPP may push it up to £14k but nothing is selling at the moment, so he's better waiting 'til spring.

Cheers m8 - I'll give him the feedback. What's the main reason for the stagnant sales? Is there a new model due or is the WRX no longer desirable?

To give you an inidication, I saw a mint 53 reg Black UK car (25k miles FSSH) go through the auctions at £12800 five months ago.

The revised 05 model (updated suspension etc.) is available new for just over £16k (EU Import) which doesn't help the values on second hand cars.
