Old men?

After working like a dog saving up for a scooby I finally got a
mint 95 turbo 2 months ago.My question is does anybody under 50
own one of these beasts? I am 25 and Everytime I pass a fellow
scoober the driver is usually middleaged bald and overweight!
Why spent thousands of pounds on mods when losing a couple of
stones would give you at least another 30bhp!!!!!!!!
I look forward to reading your replys!

Well, I'm knocking 50, bald and only a little overweight. I have driven performance cars for the best part of 30 years and am pleased to be in a position to still enjoy them. Just because we look that way doesn't mean we can't have fun.
Chill out whippersnapper!

I am not overweight, or bald, or grey or boring or anything else for that matter, but I am 50, and the proud owner of a well modified 96 mint scoob. I have been into cars since my twenties, when my first car was a Mk1 Escort RS1600.
You dont lose interest as you get older, in fact the opposite cos insurance is cheaper and mortgage is paid you can afford more toys.
So Colin, something to look forward to eh!

I'm 38 going slowly grey but as fit as I was 20 years ago.
But you don't have to be young to enjoy yourself.
And have the ability to indulge in what ever you want without someone other than the other half and 3 kids looking over your shoulder.

Im 21, bald. not. But my dad is. Oh dam it might be genetic then. Anyway i love fast cars, and will soon be the proud owner of a car that goes from 0-60 in about 5 secs... I can't decide however what car to go for. Maybe the new impreza. I know most of u are laughing at me but it is actually starting to grow on me. Besides the performance, handling is blistering, so i think i trip to the motor show in October may be in order.

So Then Colin, Just to re cap
It appears that you are ageist, hairist and anti-fatty. It must be difficult being perfect.
I am 36 (just), 16 1/2 stone and slight receeding (hair that is). is it OK for me to keep using my car on public roads or should 1 go to a disused airfield at night so's no-one sees me?
On the plus side i do have a winning peersonality and fab in bed even if i do say so myself.
Yex - Good idea. I have now promised myself that i will 'do' the exhaust and filter when i reach 17 stone and the brakes @ 18 stone (looks like i'll need 'em too) how i will ever reach these targets i do not know - anyone for a curry or three?

I like the idea of being banished to an airfield with my Scooby and linking weight to upgrades - I'll join you for those curries (and maybe a few pints)
