I think part of the Subaru sales speak for the 01/02 Bugeye model was "The Newage Impreza" as wasn't a Facelift but a radical New design. As there only 2 'Designs' and the term Classic is normally applied to a "Old" model.

The big Boss at Subaru was first shown the Car by the designer as they were all waiting to be shipped out
He said in Japanese....... 'Kinhell.....What an ugly Mother" He storm into his garden jumping up and down with rage. He drew his sword and just about to commit Hari-Kari when he saw all the Bugs he'd just stomped on
"Assoo!! I'll sell these as Bugeyes" and gave the sword to the Designer LOL
