Default engine diagnostic???

i have recently read a post about connecting the black and green wires under the steering column, and then pressing the peddle and waiting for the ECL to flash etc, is this what the garages do to fault find as well or do they have certain equipment?

Steve.

they have a subaru diagnostic tool that can read the error messages etc you can buy several off the shelf tools for doing this your self depending on year of car.

Puting the plugs together can be used to reset the cars ecu on several models
