Happy with a P1?
If i've had a WRX PPP 03 and an Evo 7 FQ 300, would I be happy with a P1?
I'm after superb driveability/enjoyment in all weathers, no shocks in the wet, good refinement, good motorway cruiser, and be fairly quiet inside.
Again, thanks in advance for all your feedback, it is much appreciated!

I would say no as well. I changed my P1 for a JDM 05, different league in terms of handling albeit a more raw car. I loved my P1, but it's dated now against current models. I had a few "moments" in the wet too, and of course the dreaded understeer.

The P1 is a more user friendly version of its brother the sti5typeR. No shocks in the wet as it shares the same power splits as all other UK imprezas, and has no rear wheel bias like the typeR.
Cannot comment about the evo and the wrx as I have driven neither. Some P1s will still have warranty remaining and their road presence is second to none (especially with a decat and nur specR )
I hate the look of all new shape Imprezas!

I think you wouldf love the P1 mate. Get one with sensible mods - big brakes, decat, remap and 18" wheels and it will not only be quicker than the EVO, but it will be more comfortable too.
But don't get me wrong - I wouldn't exactly call it a refined car as it's noisy and harsh compared to a WRX.
Go and drive a good one and make your own mind up. And I wouldn't worry about any comments on the handling - with 18's and the steering geometry sorted you'll have no worries.
