Default Help...PLEASE.

Went to take the front wheel off today, only to realise that when I bought my car two weeks ago I didn't get the locking wheelnut key....Doh !
Now I've rang the bloke I got it from and he said its in the glove box...NOT !
I tried the tool the AA have and it just blunted the blade. I went to my local Subaru garage and the Master keys didn't fit......he said they look the same as the Subaru ones but they could be Halford ones..????
Is their anything else I could try......I need them removed..??????
Thanks
Steve

You have checked the locking adaptor isnt in the tool bag ?

Tool bag is normally in the little pocket in front on the passenger rear light in the boot on the rear passenger wing

yea, I've been around the car with a fine tooth comb, and I really don't want someone to chisel the nuts off cos my alloys will be affected.?

If there subaru one's, there should be a piece of paper in the handbook's with a code number on it, your dealer should be able to order you a new one using this code.

The day after I bought my P1 I had a puncture and found the supplying dealership (who shall remain nameless - ***** ) had left the wheelnut key in their workshop. My local (decent) Subaru main dealer was able to remove the locking nuts with a special tool which screws round the outside, and removed them without damaging the alloys. A new set costs less than £30.

all my local garages say they'll have to chisel them off.....I did go back to Halfords and bought a special socket that goes around the outside of the nut....but the bloody thing is just too small......DAM ! ! !
I just have no luck.

As a last resort, why don't you go along to your nearest scooby meet, and beg everyone there to try their locking key/socket, one of them must fit.

yea, looked everywhere...nothing. I've asked the last owner and he hasn't a clue, he thought it was in the car. I also have no paperwork for the Locking wheel-nuts..I have paperwork for everything else though. knowing my luck I'll get a puncher.

Have a look around the area of the jack in the boot. Dealer couldn't find my toolkit or the LWN Key so supplied new toolkit and had to get the LWNs replaced. That's where they both were, wedged in front of the jack in the boot.

what i had to do was get a normal socket from asocket set slightly small than than the nut u want to remove put extension socket on socket put over the locked nut and t**t with big hammer, and when socket is stuck over the nut just get rachet and undo, i know it sounds crude but it works and alot quicker and cheaper than sending clay impression of the locked nut to hong kong to get a replacement. by the way the socket will be knackered
