Did have something like this on my01 wrx

Rattle seemed to be coming from the rear passenger side seatbelt hole ( Where it comes out of )

Just removed the cover & Added a small bit of grease

Think it's gone now Got a fully de catted TSL Firestorm so cannot hear much else anyway !!

Good news is I get the same rattle. As you say its like creaky plastic when traveling over certain rough sections of road. Bad new is I don't know what causes it, I just increase the revs to drown out the noise

I have a similar noise. I haven't cracked it completely but if you open up the arm-rest to the boot you will see (at the top of the hole where the arm rest was) a bar which travels through a metal hook.

The hook appears to be on the rear bulkhead. The bar, part of the seat.

I think my rattling is down to these hitting each other, but it's a b@st@rd to stop as they are so tight together I cant get much in between. calmed it down some though

Ive got the same on my MY99, and its from the passenger side rear trim that comes from the roof down to the parcel shelf. Luckily, my Magnex drowns most of it out but im swapping my interior tomorrow with ScubbyDubby555, so Im gonna have a damn good look! Good Luck with yours

I also have a similar noise in the same location(I guess) in my MY02 wrx. It really sounds like the seatbelt is doing it, but didn't open it yet as I was not sure how to do it; but it must be quite simple - so if a bit of a grease it helped your noise dissapear, I guess I'll also try that.

Jason, have you had the rear window replaced? As per ScoobyJ's comment the other day. It seemed to work for her and all under warranty.
