Default first subaru, what to buy, WRX or uk turbo?

im looking to buy a subaru for my next car, was wandering which would be a better buy? a WRX import or a uk turbo, either will be pre bugeye.

How much petrol etc do they go through? my civic vti isnt great for a 1.6 with 200 miles to £32. would a subaru be much worse?

cheers for all your help

I get 200 miles from £44 from a tank in a 00 my UK wagon.
UK car will run on UK fuel. UK or Import is purely a matter of choice for you. Drive them both to see which you prefer.

Petrol wise, the most I've seen from mine (MY00 classic) is 31 mpg. It's usually around 20 - 25mpg, depending on driving. Lowest I've seen is about 12mpg, but that was on a trackday
While a UK car will run on normal unleaded, it's better to run it on SUL (Optimax/Esso Super/BP Ultimate) to avoid potential problems.
If you're getting a WRX import they run on 100 RON fuel, you'll either have to get it remapped to use UK fuel, or add octane booster.

Get an Sti and get it remaped to run on UK fuel. That way you will get the better spec'd car with nice things like forged pistons, better heads, differencial control etc. All nice things I wish I had on my UK turbo.

Remember that you only get diff control on the STi type R/RA and 22B normal classic STis dont have this option
