Wink Letting BMWs get ahead

You know how you blow yet another BM into the weeds and then you think - I wonder which engine size that was - so you have to slow down to let him pass, so you can check the model designation? 325Ci today. Sweet.

I butchered a 330 on the backroads home from Southport yesterday - a real game of cat and mouse and bloody good fun but in every gear I had the edge and on every bend my car handled it with more poise and superiority...
Shame the scoobies brakes arent better tho - but eating BMW's (except M3's) is always a laugh

Could beat a M3 in my classic scoob when I had a few engine mods, but in the standard MY04 WRX I have, it can get quite embarrassing for me, so ill wait until my warrenty runs out then put some engine mods on.

No Livewire, when a car with 30 horsepower less than I have has a go and loses dismally, I'm really pi55ed off. Why would I be happy?

Apparently, it could have been a diesel with 270 brake - and I thought I only had to worry about M3s.

That sounds quite tasty. I didn't know they had that output as standard though?

Main problems with BMW's is that when you see one on the road other then the new M3...you have to ask yourself...is that is it really what the badge says....

I have had some where there driving like idiots on say the A406...come to lights, and they move off like a snail...

I think the point livewire was making is why was it 'sweet' to beat a 325? U have highlighted above that your car is more powerful, so if anything u should have been dissapointed when you saw the badge. Unless u get off on beating less powerful cars?? Presumably, if u somehow managed to beat an M3 (u wouldn't of course), u would stop and have a ****?

Have had a few ding-dongs with the latest M3s on various motorways, in terms of out-and-out performance my STI7 with PPP can keep pace in a straight line although you need plenty of revs in the Scooby. Above 7000 rpm I think my STI7 just has the edge and pulls away. Had a particularly memorable drag race with one from about 70 mph to a pretty high speed and it was neck-and-neck for a while although I pulled a couple of car lengths on him before we both throttled off due to rather excessive speeds, but the point was made there's very little between M3 and Scooby STI/PPP in a straight line.
As we all know they definitely have more torque and they have effing rapid accelaration from anywhere in the rev range, if you don't plenty of revs in the STI they will leave you although once the turbo kicks in you reel them back in.
I have utterly annilhalated several M3s in the twisties, let's face it the Scoobies are a piece of **** in corners compared to M3s and most BM drivers won't have the confidence to try to keep pace as could result in expensive off-road excursion especially in wet.

Yadda yadda I'm faster than this and that..all to proove your ego is bigger than your ****!

Twisties FFS

The type of car and how well it goes round bends has nothing to do with it....the driver's willingness and how far they want to push their car to the limit and put other lives at risk is more applicable on a public highway.

Save it for the race track....if you can't afford it, then sell your scooby
