Hello all, Im after a rear spoiler for my 05 WRX (version 7 & 8 style) and was wondering if its a legal requirement to have 3 brake lights nowadays? I have seen a few on eBay for a sensible price but a couple of them dont have a brake light built in. I dont want to buy it then find out im illegal for only having the 2 brake lights!! As my current small low one has one in it.Cheers for any help guys, ..unless anyone here has one for sale? in blue! Willsy

 

You certainly aren't required to have a third brake warning light in your spoiler.....

I'm not aware you need 3, A mate of mine had a Ka a few years back which he put an extra spoiler on with brake light, so he had 4 and was told to disconnect one by the Police!

 

Speak to Scott Lowe Automotive ('megabusa' on here). He had some new genuine ones for a very, very reasonable price. Come prepainted. I got one...perfect! Then you wont have any brake light worries or worries about the crap copy you just bought.
