From what I know you`ll get about 200-250miles to a tank (with a bit of care)

Adam, some of us drive our cars daily and don't leave them in a garage for 3 years while we upgrade them ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Although, that's one way to get great fuel economy ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
MPG wasn't high on my list of criteria when I bought mine 6 years ago, but sitting at 60mph in rush-hour traffic is hardly "enjoying" the driving experience of an Impreza.
So, it's good to know you can get some decent economy when you need it and forget all about it when you can actually enjoy driving![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
As Blairc said, if you drive it carefully or do some motorway cruising it should be good for 25MPG (if not higher). Give it a good thrash and you'll be well into single figure MPG's

do a fair bit of motorway, which is hardly 'fun', so wanted to be sure that I wouldnt be paying the 'impreza price' of awful mpg all the time!
Adam - if they only did 1mpg, I might not be interested, but 20+ on a run is manageable, considering I do about 15,000miles a year - an expensive hobby.
just wondered if the mpg is likely to be as good as new age STi, really.

Andy.
I normally get between 190 - 250 from about 50 litres Optimax, dont know what MPG is.
A couple of the lads at P1.WOC reckon they have seen approaching 290 on a steady 70/80 Motorway run. I have no reason to question it, but I have never got close to those figures.

I am not saying don't pay attention to it at all, I am saying that it is that bad that if it is a big concern to you, it will prevent you from enjoying the car.
You can get fairly decent consumption on cruise.
at 500bhp with sporadic use I still get 200 miles to the tank, on standard ecu I might get 280, but then mine is a 2.2.
Ozzy,
0miles/0 gallons = 0mpg which isn't much fun, especially when you have to pay for the mods and the theft and accidental damage insurance.
