Question JDM WRX > RB5?STi?

Hi there - I drive a 93 JDM WRX just now which has a few modifications but nothing to take it much past standard. Granted its fast, but, should I punt the WRX and buy a facelift STi or RB5?. At the end of the day, my car is a K plate motor and I feel like it would be a waste throwing money at it. Are the RB5s that much better/faster than a jap spec WRX or would the STi model be a better bet?. What i would like is a newer, facelift classic, ideally standard with lower mileage that i can put my own stamp on. Have probably answered my own question somewhere in here but what are your thoughts guys?. Cheers.

No performnace difference with RB5 unless it is WR version with PPP. Still nice to have that exclusivity of the special edition. It get loads of admiring loads, more than normal imprezas I think. Subtle but sooo nice. Yes I have one! Nice t have the aircon and the shortshift
