Default Wheel Bearing Replacement

Got a lovely droning noise coming from the rear of the car. Pretty confident it is the wheel bearings. What is the rough cost of replacement at a garage and what is entailed if i did it myself?

I had one wheel done under warranty and the Subaru franchised dealer said it would have cost me about £180 inc. parts and labour. My son had one wheel done on his Peugeot 306 and that cost him £200. So that should give you some idea. As to doing it yourself, the answer will hopefully come from someone who knows what they are talking about.
