Default Price of maf and cambelt!!!!

hiya

I thought i would replace my cambelt and maf before i carry out any more mods just for peace of mind...

Just been quoted £82.56 for the belt and £244.42 for the MAF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this expensive for a new maf?????????????

It depends what year your car is...

If it is 99/00, you can just buy the MAF element for about £75

£245 is about right for the earlier cars though

Depends on the model/year. IIRC it's the pre 99 cars where the MAF is only sold as a complete kit, which includes the large plastic hose and not just the sensor

Hang on a minute, and I'll go and get you the part number for just the element.

If your car is a MY99/00, just phone up a different dealer, and ask for...

22794AA010
"Meter CP-Air Flow"

Should be around £75

Phone the parts dept @ your Dealer and ask them for a price for part# 2279AA010

You can get them from BRD if you're stuck.
