Spec C hard To Live With?

Spec C hard To Live With?
As a daily commute, would a STi or JDM be a better bet?
I dont hang around and enjoy my UK 98 WRS, but would the Spec C be that much different?
I also have a wife and and 2 kids that would also be in it a lot.. My lad would be made up regardless what the sound deadening & ride was like...

The Spec C is a great car. I too was concerned about the noise so I tried one out against a "normal" JDM car. I guess the Spec C was a little boomier due to the lack of sound deadening, but nothing I couldn't live with or cope with by adding a bit of sound deadening.
The car I tried it against was a Type 25, and the rest, as they say, is history
You should also bear in mind that the Spec C only has a 50ltr fuel tank.
Spec C or JDM they are both a great car, and I use mine for the daily commute.

Tell him about Westferry Circus, go on, tell him
I'm sure you'll get the puncture sorted . Mind you, you've got other things on your mind these days!!

Cheers guys... No one said running them would be cheap.. But I still need to be comfortable that my teeth wouldn' drop out after 10 miles to work along with requiring a zimmer after 6 months of driving on these crappy roads... Oh, plus an hearing aid to get over the tinitus.. ..
They may be expensive, but I'd like to be able to live with it.. Know what I mean?
Chris.. cheers mate.. Bug eye's not my fave and 2 hours to sell mine and sort out the cash is cutting it a little fine.. Nice link all the same.. I may give them a call to see if they have many Scoobs through the books.
More 'real world' experiences welcome!

Calling TONY BURNS, there is a spec c thread here and your not on it
I'm actually looking to get one myself alan, and I already know it'll be quieter than my classic
I've tried both the bugeye and the blobeye recently, and there's not much in it. Both tremendous cars. Keep an eye on wickedkit in wigan, he's been known to import them in the past, and will do so to order if you phone them.
Just sports in oldham have 3 in at the mo'
1, bugeye 5k 16.5k
2, blobeye 10k 20.5k
3,my05 wrx sti spec c type ra se 0k 30k!
TAKE YOUR PICK

Spoke to few guys in the business today (cheers guys!!) and the verdict is yes, noisier and rowdier than a modern day UK or JDM, but just as noisy and rowdy as my UK on Bilstein & Eibach.... seems good enough to me

right im home again..... been out scrubbing some tyres in....
where do i start...... only one thing to say really, try one and you will be hooked..... as for being noisy i found mine too quiet so fitted a H&S back box and have now fitted a centre de-cat.... thats better......... if you want an out and out enjoyable car that can behave as well and your not too worried about a slightly noisier ride ( can be rather annoying through gravel car parks) then the spec'c' it HAS to be....

Awesome bits of kit imho.
Will surely be keeping mine for a while yet.
I don't use mine for every day driving, but if I did it would not be an issue tbh. To me they are the ultimate road going Scooby weapon of choice (but I am sure others will have different views).
But the choice is yours!
Regards,
Shaun.
