Hey Guys,
I'm new to the forum but have been reading in the background a while.
Anyway, I have searched and searched and dont seem to find any thread on this.
How would a 1998 Scooby WRX Sti fare against a 96 BMW M3 Evo?
Thanks

What is the rough 0-60 speed of the 98 Sti on paper, the M3 is down at about 5.5 Secs I think.
I'm new to the scooby scene so bare with me :-)

well i was in a 1996 sti RA (275bhp))1240kgs)and raced a E46 M3 twice(343bhp)(1515kgs) and my car was slightly quicker off line, even to fourth gear then pulled out slightly at 100mph +.no contest round bends. E36 evo with 321 bhp and loads more weight would be easier to beat but not in a standard 280bhp sti.
my RA has 254 ib ft @ 3900 E36 m3 has 258 lb ft @ 3,250rpm but more weight

Possibly but only if you absolutely launch it. MY98 STi is nice, but if you can stretch, a 99 is quite superior (not just because im selling one!) The MY99 has revised fron and headlights, and importantly has a phase 2 engine. Phase 1 suffered from piston slap. The ECU is also re-mappable which you will find very important ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

0-60 time is around that.
0-100 time on that is rather high on that web page, mid 11's is probably a safer estimate and that's the figure you'd want to compare to the M3's time- dunno what that is for a 96 M3 EVO, would be suprised if it was lower however.
