Smile taking the scoob of the road....

hi all,

am taking scoob off road for 4-5 months will be parked under a tree unfortunately, any advice on a good car cover to protect it during the summer from all the sap and other crap. what about leaving the handbrake off and disconnecting the battery and other mechanical things like that does this need doing? ive heard stories about cars 'sweating' in these covers causing rust and other problems, could this be a problem?

any advice very much appericiated.

thks

Always start the engine once a week till fan cuts in or you will be in trouble

Good advice. In effect, let it think it's still on the road! Run the engine weekly to keep the oil distributed around all the bits and to drive out any condensation, also the keep the battery nicely charged. Run the a/c if it has it, to ensure the seals don't dry out. Drive it back and forth if you can to lubricate the gearboxes and bearings.

And of course, wash and wax it twice a week
