Hi All....
Sorry to ask a stupid question but a complete scooby noobie here!! Only picked it up last week - most amount of fun I have had on 4 wheels!!
I have a 2001 bug eye (with lamp conversion
) and managed to get 230 miles out of a tank of fuel... shocking. But will live with it if its the norm!
However...
Do scoobies have fuel warning lights?? I drove mine till it had 14 litres left in the tank and no light came on?
Many thanks!
Iain

Of course, when it was new, I was learning about how far I got on a tank and when the light came on. It must have stuck slightly, because it came on when I left home one morning - 22 miles from Oxford South services. I got 21 miles out of it... :-(
Since then I've found I can get 30 at a push when the light comes on.

Great thanks.
Thats doing 230 miles with still 10-15 litres left in the tank. I have put my foot down a bit but not amazingly. car has just had it's 30k service at the main dealer before i drove it off the forecourt.
I have filled up twice and both the times has taken between 45 and 49 litres (At this point its on empty but no light). Am guessing it is a 60 litre tank?? If so i should be able to push another 50 miles out if am guessing.

Mine (MY03 WRX PPP) comes on with about 10 litres left, and if I drive like the pope I can get over 32mpg. I did a 350 mile run from Devon to Yorkshire last year on a single tank, and the light came on 2 miles from the garage. Filled her up with 51 litres, so I could have realised almost 400 miles from a single tank. One day when I'm really bored I might try to do that

Fuel light normally comes on with just over a gallon to go - I would suggest just over 5 litres as I can always get 30 miles out of it at that point! Although having once done 33 miles it coughed and cut out just as I rolled onto the Forecourt of my local Shell station! ![EEK!](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/eek.gif)
In my 03 WRX I've managed an all time best (when running in) of 360 miles - but my average is around the 300 mile mark (28mpg), as I spend 50% of my time on Motorways and try and keep it below 95mph. Worst ever has been 240 miles which was mostly cross country at lunatic speeds (21.8mpg).
